Jeilin Espinel was born in Venezuela and is based in Miami, Jeilin has studied photography, film and literature. She has been selected for the NDNPLab filmmaking workshops at CcsDOC and Más Cortas at JEVA (Venezuela). She was part of the winning university showcase at the 17th Venezuelan Film Festival in 2021. As a Director her work has been part of the official selection of festivals in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela and the US for her documentary Arena de Naufrago. Most recently she won a Development Fund from Knight Fundation in Miami for her upcoming short film "Jardines que se marchan" which is currently in post-production stage.
